Self Tanners or Fake Tanenrs
What is Self Tanner
Do you want perfectly tan legs not permanent but time to time? Are
you worried about the side effects of too much sun? The self-tanners or
fake tanners, can give your skin a tanned look without exposing it to
harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Self tanners are sold as creams, gels,
lotions and sprays.
The active ingredient in most sunless tanning products is
dihydroxyacetone (DHA).
Self tanners have become very popular now as there is always option
for you to switch over tanned or fair legs.
In just a few minutes you can have naturally tan looking legs with
out the time and the harsh effects of lying out in the sun.
How To Do
You can get a natural healthy looking glow by following the simple steps below.
1. Shave or do waxing on your legs. If you prefer shaving, do it in
shower.
2. Lightly massage a good body lotion on your legs and hands where you
want tan. Prefer on knees and ankles. This will soak into the driest
parts of your legs so they don't soak up too much self-tanner.
3. Spread self tanner evenly on each leg.
4. Allow it to dry throughly for about five minutes so it won't rub off
on clothing.
5. If you want darker color, you can add more the next day, and you
will not need to shave your legs next day.
6. Prefer to start with lighter colour as too dark can give unnatural
look.
7. Wash your hands with soap and water.
8. You can re-apply lotion once or twice a week to keep your tan going.
But just remember to put lotion on your knees and ankles before you
apply the self-tanner.
