Female Condom & How To Use
The female condom is almost like a male condom but larger in size and look. It is worn inside vagina by a woman during sex.
It entirely lines up the vagina preventing sperm ejaculated inside
vagina and so stops any possible pregnancy and sexually transmitted
diseases (STDs) including HIV.
It is made by a polyurethane membrane measuring about 17 cm (6.5 inches) in length. At each end there is a flexible ring. At the closed end of the condom there is also a pad in some condoms. The outer or open side ring stays on the upper labia preventing the condom slipping inside vagina. This ring also acts as a guide during penetration and it also stops the condom bunching up inside the vagina.
How To Use
1. Open the package by tearing from a side so you are not tearing
condom inside. However if the condom gets teared while opening (it's
very rare) discard it and use a fresh one. Take out the condom from the
package. Open it completely so that it is evenly distributed.
2. Squeeze the inner ring, the closed end, of the condom between your thumb and middle finger.
3. Now push the condom all the way into your vagina using your index
finger. Insert it as far as it will go to its full length. If the depth
of your vagina is smaller than condom length you can push it to your
depth. Make sure condom is not twisted inside.
4. While doing this make sure the ring at the open end should remain outside the vagina. However the outer ring is made of such design that it will not go inside your vagina easily. Outer ring should rest against your labia (the outer lips of the vagina).
5. After your man ejaculates, remove the condom immediately. To
prevent any spillage, first twist the condom near the outer ring that
is resting on your labia. Then pull the condom out carefully.
Use one condom once only. Discard used condom safely.
Tips
1. During intercourse outer ring of the condom must be held in place
on your outer lips of vagina and it should not slip inside the vagina.
However this ring is designed in such way that it is almost impossible
that it will slip inside your vagina.
2. The penis must be guided into the condom to prevent the penis sliding between the condom and the vaginal wall.
