Kanamara Matsuri - Japanese Penis Festival

In the world, India and Japan has many interesting and amazing things to see and to do. The one of the famous festival of Japan named Kanamara Matsuri (Festival of the Steel Phallus or Penis festival) is an annual Shinto fertility festival held in spring.

In ancient anything to do with childbirth was seen as very holy, including sex. Such habits made sexual intercourse, menstruation, childbirth and breast-feeding very sacred.
